Creative Presence for a Creative Audience
The Discreet web site captures the spirit of creative tools for the film and video industry. The attractive user interface provides logical access to new content organized by industry markets, as well as updated content from the legacy Kinetix and Discreet Logic web sites.

Implementation of new Brand Identity
As a result of the merger with Autodesk, best know for their AutoCAD drafting software, the existing Discreet Logic brand was merged with the Kinetix brand to create Discreet, a division Autodesk. The new web site was developed with sufficient flexibility that it could be modified easily to support the new Discreet brand identity, which was undergoing parallel development. A dedicated SQL database was developed to access the existing Lotus Notes system in order to bridge the gap between Internet, Extranet and Intranet systems.

Industry Marketing “Magazine” Approach
At launch, the new Discreet web site promoted three distinct industry segments: Film and Video Post-Production, Broadcast Television and Games Development. This was later expanded to include Animation and Internet markets. Each industry segment was treated as a separate "magazine" devoted to significant customer stories and product news of interest to the specific audience. This approach provided an opportunity to introduce the benefits of new products – acquired through the merger – via the direct endorsement of Discreet’s high-profile customers — considered the expert authority on advanced digital content creation workflow.
